This innovative product is not a waterproof mascara. Rather, it's a transparent coat that you can apply to transform any mascara you own into a waterproof one. Now add on the fact that it's paraben-free, hypo-allergenic, and perfume-free... sounds pretty amazing, right?
As for the waterproofing capabilities of the Marcelle Waterproofing Mascara Topcoat, I managed to work in a few sweaty gym sessions while wearing it and my mascara did remain happily smudge-free. So if you don't suffer from straight lash syndrome and you're looking to "emotion-proof" a favourite non-waterproof mascara, this might be just the product you're looking for.
For the folks the above paragraph applies to (jealous!), Marcelle is offering a special deal for you. From now until September 30, buy any Marcelle mascara and receive a Waterproofing Mascara Topcoat for FREE. Offer is only available online at Marcelle.com with promo code BOGO.
Aww such a shame this product didn't work for you :( I was recently looking at a product from Etude House that has the same concept I think but it also helped in curling when I was reading some reviews. Unfortunately I don't remember the name >__<

I'd love to know what your favourite mascara is as I have straight, sparse lashes and am constantly in search of a waterproof mascara (like you, I prefer waterproof) that will give me long, natural-looking, doe-like lashes (I really dislike the thick, fibrous, spidery, gloppy look) and keep them curled. I have tried so many brands, mostly the expensive ones, and still haven't found a really good one.
ReplyDeleteMaybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost in the waterproof formula! I've been using it for over 8 years and it's the one I go back to time and time again - even over more expensive options. I know everyone has different experiences with mascara but this is the one that holds a curl best on my lashes and looks very natural.
DeleteAwww, that's too bad Alison! I was totally rooting for it to work for you!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great idea, but it sounds like it's not quite as great as regular waterproof mascara!

I think this product is an amazing idea! I usually shy away from waterproof formulas because they're so difficult to get off, but I could defiantly use the extra curl.
ReplyDeleteThis mascara sounds like a great idea! Too bad it didn't work for you! I think it also depends on the person...some things work for some and some don't! Great post though!

Definitely depends on the person... I bet this would work on lots of others!
DeleteI have the same problem! Too bad the mascara couldn't hold a curl! Hope someone comes up with a product that can do both!
