A Tuxedo Blazer

Despite how versatile this cropped tuxedo-style blazer seemed in the store (it's black and white... seriously, what doesn't go with those two colours?), I'd been having the hardest time figuring out how to style it. It finally occurred to me to try pairing this as-yet-unworn blazer with the similarly as-yet-unworn chain print dress (we all know how much I love chain print) that's been sitting in my closet for months just waiting to be worn. Faith in this blazer's possibilities has now been renewed - phew!

Dress: ASOS / Blazer: Zara / Tights: Hue (here) / Cuff: Soo Ihn Kim (here) / Shoes: Nine West

  1. It's funny how it can be hard to match outfits with a blazer thats black & white. I have a white blazer in my closet right now sitting unworn, cause I feel the stark white is a little hard to work with (especially since there's still snow around here in Edmonton... :P) You look great! Love the chain print.

    1. You're right, I think my problems are because of how blindingly white this blazer is!

  2. I totally have those types of buys too. And they sit in my closet for months. But love how you styled it. I'm sure it would also make a casual outfit that much more chic.

  3. I know what you mean! There's always that one piece that looks amazing, but is a lot harder to style. I have a bad habit of buying pieces like that and not wearing it for the longest time, because I can't find anything to pair it with =P

  19. This is a great look. You've just inspired me to try out prints more often. I have a lot of neutral colored jackets like yours but it's certainly more interesting if I pair them with prints than single toned pieces.
