Rain-couver

When I first moved to Vancouver from Toronto, one of the hardest things to get used to was the constant rain and grey skies. Since then, I've come to realize that these things are what make the city as beautiful as it is. But not gonna lie, sometimes I really do miss playing in dry leaves as opposed to wet ones.

You'll notice my hair is up in these pictures, which is a very rare occurrence. I'm one of those people who prefers wearing my hair down no matter what and I almost never put it in a ponytail or bun. I feel like I look totally different when it's up like this!

Tanktop: TNA / Plaid Shirt: TNA / Sweater: Wilfred Free / Jeans: Habitual
Rain Boots: Hunter / Pashmina: Singapore

@cryskay HAHA, I suppose you're right, there are certain perks to the rain. Wouldn't mind your LA weather though!

This is exactly how I feel! I can't stand having my hair up and rarely ever do. I like the Hunter's as well, I have a plain black pair. Are those a new style?

  19. @ALISON I think they are new for this season... the style is called "Regent Grovenor" and they come it black too. Love your name, btw! ;)

  20. Hunter rainboots to the rescue! :) It's been rainy here on Maui too. I throughly enjoy rainy days here, because they are few and far in between. :D

I feel the same way about my hair. Like the rain, it's a rarity that I will put it up. Plus I have a lot of hair and when I have it in a pony for too long, I get headaches. Weird, huh?

Hope you're having a fabulous day, hun! Swing buy to enter my giveaway!

  22. I love the Hunters! I just saw on CityLine this morning how they have inserts for their boots, even fur-lined ones! Your hair looks nice up! :)

A few years back I moved to the west coast too, but after 2 years, the rainy weather was enough to make me move back to Toronto! Glad you found some appreciative features from the cloudy skies.

  28. We do have the same glasses!! They look just adorable on you, especially with this casual, perfect-for-Vancouver rainy day look. Those buttoned Hunters are soemthing else, by far the most stylish wellies I've ever come across :) And you've done your hair beautifully, too!

  29. Love the details on your hunter boots! And yes, Rain-couver's gloomy skies can be hard to deal with sometimes, but sometimes it's also amazing to cuddle up with tea on a gloomy day. And I love your hair up. I don't wear mine up very often outside of work (I have to wear it up at work) but it looks lovely on you :)

  30. What a cute comfy outfit! Love your hunter boots and comfy sweater! Yeah, the rain in Vancouver can be kind of depressing after a while but that's what cozy days in are for! Have a great weekend Alison! :)

  33. Those button Hunters are so cool! And you look great with your hair in a bun, you should do it more often. I so wish I could get my hair like that, but it's next to impossible without chemical intervention :p

  34. Love your blog! :) Thinking of buying these wellies too. Greetings from Sweden.
