Railtown & Nicli Antica Pizzeria

Dress: Wilfred (Aritzia) / Trench Coat: T. Babaton (Aritzia) / Tights: The Bay
Booties: Rachel Comey (in brown/black) / Bag: Primark

I had such a great weekend! I gorged on Japanese sukiyaki at Posh, saw "This Means War" (my friend and I watch any and all romantic comedies regardless of how awful they may be, and yes we are totally the only people over the age of 14 who loved the movie "Prom")... and I finally got to try out Nicli Antica Pizzeria, a restaurant that has been on my go-to list for ages.

Located in the heart of Gastown, Nicli Antica Pizzeria specializes in certified Neopolitan pizza - a super thin pizza with a light and fluffy yet crispy crust. Each pizza is hand formed and cooked in a wood-fired oven, resulting in absolute deliciousness.

I opted for the Margherita di Bufala ($16) while my bf ordered the Capocollo ($16).

Each bite took me back to my trip to Italy last year where I ate pizza almost every day. So good! I especially loved the crust on this pizza, which has a unique slightly sour flavour. It tastes even better drizzled with rosemary-infused olive oil.

The restaurant's decor is classy without being pretentious (lots of white and big mirrors along the wall) and the service was great. I'd definitely recommend this place to my fellow Vancouverites looking for some authentic Italian pizza. However, word of warning: they don't take reservations and get quite busy so make sure to get there early or stop by for a late weekend lunch like I did.

  2. Love your trenchcoat and your dress!

OMG - the picture of your pizza has made me SO hungry...I crave authentic Italian pizza - have not found a great place in Toronto yet.

When we went to the Amalfi Coast - we lived on pizza and pasta - just the simple versions - tomato sauce and cheese - but it always tasted AMAZING.

  7. Ah, Posh. I miss that place! Sukiyaki really is non existent here in Edmonton, so I make sure to stop at Posh everytime I can! But mm, the pizza in this post looks good! There's a couple places here that do Neopolitan pizza too - so yummy!

As for Nicli, isn't it amazing? Definitely my favourite pizza place in Vancouver, and this post reminded me that I haven't been there for a while. Definitely time to change that!

    1. I love the fit! I'd been on the hunt for the perfect trench coat for ages and short of Burberry this was the only one I found that was reasonably priced and that I really liked.
