Alma Mater

It's hard to believe that I moved to Vancouver a little over 10 years ago (seriously, that seems like forever) to attend university... in a completely new city... on the other side of the country. At the time, I never intended on staying past my undergrad but life has a funny way of working out. Two degrees and a career later, I really can't imagine living anywhere else. It's only fitting then that a visit back to my alma mater was in order; after all, I have to thank UBC for laying the foundations that turned me into the west coast girl I am today.

  1. I applied to UBC, UVIC and Acadia U...I loved the location of all the schools so decided that I'd just go to the school that accepted me first...so I ended up an East Coast girl at Acadia :)

  6. It's funny how life has a way for working out. When my husband and I left our hometown for his job, we had every intention of moving back. But now we love where we live and my husband has had a couple job opportunities that would take us back to our hometown and he's turned them down.

  7. Two degrees, wow! You're a hardworking girl! I really want to go back to school. I have a BA in Human Development, but I really want to try something else.

Vancouver looks beautiful! My hubby and I want to go there one day :)

    1. Haha, I'm old. I remember when Irving wasn't Irving and instead was Main Library...

    2. Umm yeah! That's right Moldy, oldy main library all the way! Hello, grassy knoll where the bus loop used to be ;-)
It really is a gorgeous campus though and when it wasn't raining, I loved walking through it.
