I popped back home this past weekend for the
briefest of visits. A few days was simply not enough, though I sure was happy to avoid the -24 degrees temperatures and snow-covered streets of Calgary. People in Vancouver have been complaining about how cold it's been getting but it still felt like Fall to me. It's been snowing on and off in Calgary since mid-October so I'll take any non-Winter weather I can get.
On that note, it looks like I may be staying in Calgary till the end of January instead of the end of December as originally planned. I've heard that January/February are the worst months to be in Alberta... someone please tell me my sources are wrong!

Yeah, January and February are pretty awful in Alberta. But I'm north of Calgary (Edmonton) so maybe you'll get better weather...on another note, those tights are insanely cute!

I'm afraid your sources are right... January and February are miserable on the prairies. Stock up on good DVDs, get yourself a pair of fuzzy slippers and you'll be just fine ;) Love your tights, the print is too cute!

Looks like you've gotten used to the Calgary cold already! I thought it was freeeeezing this weekend in Vancouver. It's gotten better though - now I get hot while walking to work! Can't imagine how cold Calgary will be in Jan/Feb. Can't wait to see how you're going to plan your outfits for such low temperatures!

I'm just south of you in Montana, and yeah, January and February are the worst cold-wise. However, snow-wise November and March are the worst. (It's, uh, too cold to snow in the dead of winter. No joke.)
