The PS11 has long been on my wishlist... and I am planning on crossing it off in the next few months! In the mean time, however, I'll have to keep myself satisfied with a little piece of the designer duo by way of the new MAC Cosmetics x Proenza Schouler Collection.
Because this is a fashion collaboration, all the products feature special packaging reminiscent of Proenza Schouler's popular oil slick pattern from last year. Pinkfringe Lipstick ($26 CAD), which I received as a press sample, comes in a slick square tube that is super pretty (but also attracts a lot of fingerprints).
This shade is described as a "vivid flamingo pink" and as you can see from the picture above, it photographs almost neon. On my pigmented lips, Pinkfringe is not nearly as crazy as it looks in the tube though it is certainly quite bright. I personally like it a lot and am planning on wearing it a lot this summer. The satin finish feels quite comfortable though it does settle into lip lines a bit. Thankfully, a little bit of lip balm is all you need to help with that.
MAC x Proenza Schouler is currently available online and will be in-stores April 24, 2014.
It does look completely different on the lips! It's a really pretty shade though.

That one is super pretty! Very summery.
DeleteWow, that is totally not what I imagined it would swatch like! Much more wearable IMO.

It is a pretty color.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised it's so muted becaue MAC lipsticks usually show up well on my pigmented lips. Love the packaging though! And what a great PR sample
ReplyDeleteI actually still think it is quite bright but I am not very adventurous when it comes to lip colours!
DeletePretty! Much lighter than I expected. I love it though :)
ReplyDeleteThat would be such a cool matte color but it turned out more sheer looking, still is pretty though!!

Aww I'm a little disapponted that it looks so natural on. It would have been so fun to see something that crazy neon!
ReplyDeleteAh, I still think it's kind of neon (but wearable neon).
DeleteI have been eyeing the ombre blushes from this collection but that shade looks really nice on you.
