OSiS+ Session Label Salt Spray

Summertime means lots of time spent at the beach, and even when I can't get down to the sand, I want to make sure my hair still looks the part. As such, beachy waves have been my go-to hairstyle this season.

To get the look, OSiS+ Session Label Salt Spray has been my current salt spray of choice. It works over damp or dry hair though I personally use it on dry hair that's just been curled for extra volume.

The product dries matte and adds some nice grip to the hair, leaving it feeling thicker and fuller. It also doesn't impart a sticky residue which I've noticed certain other salt sprays do. Unlike those other salt sprays, however, there is no distinct "beachy" scent. In fact, it doesn't really smell like anything to me. Guess this could be a good or bad thing depending on what you're after!

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish

I was first introduced to Canadian indie polish line, Trust Fund Beauty, back in February of this year and have been a fan ever since. Aimed at bringing out your inner rich bitch (no matter what your financial situation), Trust Fund Beauty offers a range of themed colour collections featuring witty, tongue-in-cheek names like "Pre-Nup", "Nip Slip", and "They're Just Jealous" to name a few examples. Added bonus? All the polishes are 5-free.

The chic rectangular bottles are priced at $15 CAD, though you can try their sample trios if you're not sure what colour to choose -- and there are many to choose from! I'm sharing three of my favourites with you today: Virgin?, Just Talk to My Lawyer, and Rehab and Repeat.

Virgin? is a pale milky pink that's a great dupe of my eternal favourite, OPI Bubble Bath. These types of shades can sometimes be difficult to work with since you really need to layer up to reach opacity. This is three coats.

Just Talk To My Lawyer is hard to describe... it's a dark brown initially but as you layer it, it begins to lean more red. Given my occupation, I went for this one based on the name alone, obviously. But it'll be a great Fall colour!

Rehab And Repeat is a forest green with a hint of silver shimmer particles. The polish is jelly-like and very pretty. This is two coats (I probably could have done three but the patchiness was not nearly as noticeable on my nails as it turned out to be in photos).

Denim (in)Vest(ment)

As someone who was actually a child in the 90s, I've been actively avoiding a lot of the 90s trends that have been resurfacing. After all, daisy-covered dresses and overalls are a little too "real" in terms of recent memory for me. However, one item I haven't said "no" to is the denim vest. I love vests (proof here, here, and here) so it should really come as no surprise that it's been a go-to piece for me this summer.

Sleek & Shiny Hair with OSiS+ Session Label

Some of you may recall that I worked with OSiS+ last year, sharing tutorials and reviews on some of their fabulous styling products. Well, I'm pleased to announce that I'll be partnering with Schwarzkopf Professional (the parent brand) again... but this time focusing on their new OSiS+ Session Label line.

To start things off, I thought I'd share two of the products I've been combining to achieve super sleek and shiny hair: OSiS+ Flatliner and OSiS+ Session Label Silk Shine Cream.

First, I start off by spraying Flatliner onto my wet hair. Next, I towel dry completely before running my trusty ghd Candy Styler through a few times for ultra sleek hair. Flatliner is great because it acts as a heat protectant and holds straight styles in place all day (perfect for those of you who might have more frizzy hair).

Next, I work a small amount of Session Label Silk Shine Cream into my hair with my hands. This product has a non-greasy consistency and provides a silky clean shine with a super smooth finish.

LUSH Cosmetics Vanishing Cream

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of LUSH Cosmetics (be sure to check out my previous reviews if you haven't already) so when the company sent over this pot of Vanishing Cream I was excited to see how it fared.

As LUSH's lightest facial moisturizer, Vanishing Cream is formulated specifically for oily/combination skin. Made with witch hazel to tighten pores and grape seed oil to soften, its main intent is to balance oil production. To be honest, I haven't noticed a significant difference in my skin (i.e. there's no matte finish) but it also doesn't seem to encourage shininess either.

The cream has a very strong lavender scent, which might not appeal to everyone though I personally don't mind it. The main sticking point, however, is the price. At $42.95 CAD for a 45g pot this product is definitely on the more expensive side. If I am paying that much for skincare, it needs to be better than my current HG in order to replace it, which sadly Vanishing Cream is not (for me, anyway). Nonetheless, this product might be a good option for those of you looking for something light that won't cause breakouts. I will be alternating it with my other creams this summer -- especially on super hot days.
